Olivier Jeannel

Olivier Jeannel has been involved with the Victor Pineda Foundation ever since Victor's first documentary trip abroad - filming Castro's Cuba - through shared moral and financial support. A fellow graduate of UC Berkeley, Olivier subsequently completed a Master's degree at Sciences Po Paris. Prefering the charms of old Europe to his native California, he now finds himself in Madrid, working in financial planning and strategy for France Telecom and mastering his third language. Olivier is deaf.

His current interest is to improve cooperation and outreach amongst NGOs and governmental institutions. Olivier has previous experience working for the US Department of State. He has co-founded an international student's association, under the patronage of both French and British governments. He has also led the creation of Science Po Paris' disabled students' center.

In his free time Olivier enjoys mountaineering and kite-surfing, and has organized ski trips to recent war zones such as Kashmir and Georgia. He hopes to write a short-story book one day
