Help us Create a World Enabled!
The Pineda Foundation for Youth / World Enabled was started with a vision of empowering youth challenged by stigma, prejudice and abuse to give them a chance to live their dreams. Eight years later and thanks to your support, that vision has become a reality for the girls, boys, women and men that have benefited from our educational and training programs.
Some of the highlights of 2011 included:
- Supporting the launch of the African Youth with Disabilities Network and providing training and technical assistance to youth advocates and government officials from 13 countries across Africa.
- Completing a 9-month youth empowerment study in Cambodia and Indonesia, engaging youth with and without disabilities to develop inclusive community action plans, and provided them with mentorship and resources to bring their plans to life.
- Providing storytelling courses to high school students and systems change advocates in an effort to stem bullying.
This coming year will be better! Our programs for 2012 in South America and the Middle East will expand our global impact by instilling self-confidence and personal leadership skills needed to remove the barriers that too many youth face on a daily basis.
Every project that we undertake stems from the same belief – give people the tools and opportunities that they need to improve their lives and they will be empowered to build a stronger tomorrow for themselves and their peers.
If you would like to partner with us and take part in supporting this life-changing work that we are doing, please consider supporting our work as a volunteer or through a tax-deductible donation.
Warmest regards,
